• On Sunday, Nov. 16, shuttle buses are replacing 1 Line service between Capitol Hill and Stadium stations. This all-day shutdown is for scheduled maintenance on the tracks.
  
  Trains will run from Lynnwood City Center Station to Capitol Hill Station and from Stadium Station to Angle Lake Station. Trains run every 10 minutes.
  
  Northbound passengers at Stadium and southbound passengers at Capitol Hill must transfer to the 1 Line shuttle buses to continue their trip. The shuttle buses will run every 10-15 minutes
  
  Passengers can find 1 Line shuttle buses at the following stops:

• Pioneer Square Station: From Nov. 10 to 18 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the Prefontaine Entrance (Exit C: 3rd Ave & Yesler Way) will be closed due to scheduled maintenance.

  The station will remain open during this work on Prefontaine's glass dome. Passengers will be required to use the other entrances:
  Exit A: 3rd Ave & Cherry St
  Exit B: 3rd Ave & James St
  
  Passengers requiring elevator service should use Exit B: 3rd Ave & James St.
  *Exit C: Prefontaine, 3rd & Yesler. This elevator remains open. Be mindful of construction in the area.

• SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
  
  Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
  
  During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
  
  The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
  
  Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
  
  Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
• Testing for the 1 Line extension to Federal Way is underway. During testing, trains will continue south past Angle Lake Station. Passengers must deboard at Angle Lake. Service to Federal Way begins on Dec. 6.  
• Pioneer Square Station - Elevator 705 unavailable until further notice. The North Mezzanine is inaccessible to passengers requiring elevator service. See below for alternate route information.
  
  To ride the 1 Line to Lynnwood:
  
  1. Exit the station and continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
  2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & Yesler Way.
  3. Take the elevator at the South Mezzanine down to the Angle Lake platform.
  4. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
  5. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  6. Cross the North Mezzanine.
  7. Take the elevator down to the Lynnwood platform.
  
  To ride the 1 Line to Angle Lake:
  
  1. Exit the station and continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
  2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & Yesler Way.
  3. Take the elevator at the South Mezzanine down to the Angle Lake platform
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
  2. Take the elevator up to the South Mezzanine.
  3. Cross the South Mezzanine.
  4. Take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform.
  5. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit C.
  6. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  7. Take the elevator at Exit C (3rd Ave & Yesler Way) up to the street.
• Mount Baker Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice due to maintenance. The elevator serving the street (27th Ave S) and Angle Lake platform is out of service until further notice.

  To Angle Lake, passengers requiring elevator service must go to another station.
  
  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Take the elevator up to the Lynnwood platform.
  2. Take the 1 Line to Beacon Hill Station.
  3. At Beacon Hill Station, transfer to the Angle Lake platform.
  
  Passengers requiring elevator service CANNOT exit from the Angle Lake platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Board the 1 Line.
  2. Take the 1 Line to Columbia City Station.
  3. At Columbia City Station, transfer to the Lynnwood platform.
  4. Take the 1 Line to return Mount Baker Station.
  5. Passengers can exit Mount Baker Station using the Lynnwood platform elevator.
  
  The elevator serving the Lynnwood platform is operating.
• Starting on September 11 through November 14, the south parking lot at Lynnwood Transit Center will be closed to vehicles. This is to allow for construction of a new trash enclosure.
  
  The ONLY vehicles allowed access during the construction will be those using the ADA parking spaces and paratransit bus service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

• Elevator and Escalator upgrades at Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station
  
  Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.
  
  Exit A - to 5th Ave S & S Jackson St:
  • Elevator 901 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Elevator 902 to Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Escalator 901 from Lynnwood platform – out of service
  • Escalator 902 from Angle Lake platform – out of service
  
  Exit B – to 5th Ave S & King St:
  • Elevator 904 to Angle Lake platform – Currently out of service (Updated 10/20)
  • Escalator 903 from Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Escalator 904 from Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Elevator 903 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Southeast stairwell to/from Lynnwood platform – closed

• University of Washington Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice due to a mechanical issue.
  
  
  The elevator at the Husky Stadium exit serving the street (Montlake Blvd NE), pedestrian bridge, and platform is out of service for the foreseeable future.
  
  During recent repairs, it was identified that a component in the elevator was damaged. The damaged component is not available for purchase separately, and a completely new machine will need to be ordered. These new machines have a significant lead time and the elevator will be out of service until repairs are complete.

  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
