• SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
  
  Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
  
  During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
  
  The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
  
  Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
  
  Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
• Testing for the 1 Line extension to Federal Way is underway. During testing, trains will continue south past Angle Lake Station. Passengers must deboard at Angle Lake. Service to Federal Way begins on Dec. 6.  
• Beacon Hill Station - Elevator 4 will be unavailable from Mon, Oct 13 at 7 AM through Fri, Oct 31 due to scheduled maintenance.

  Please use the adjacent in-service elevators to ride the 1 Line and exit the station.
• From Monday, Oct. 27 to Wednesday, Oct. 29, Sound Transit will clean the elevators at Tukwila International Boulevard Station. This maintenance will begin at 9 p.m. each night and conclude before light rail service starts the following morning.

  Monday, Oct. 27: Elevator #3, serving the Angle Lake (southbound) platform and the mezzanine, will be unavailable.
  
  To ride the 1 Line to Angle Lake:
  
  1. Take the elevator up to the Lynnwood platform.
  2. Take the 1 Line to Rainier Beach Station.
  3. At Rainier Beach Station, board the 1 Line toward Angle Lake.
  4. Passengers requiring elevator service CANNOT exit from the Angle Lake platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. From the Angle Lake platform, board the 1 Line.
  2. Take the 1 Line to SeaTac/Airport Station.
  3. At SeaTac/Airport Station, board the 1 Line toward Lynnwood.
  4. Exit the 1 Line at Tukwila International Blvd Station.
  5. Passengers can exit Tukwila International Blvd Station using the Lynnwood platform elevator.
  
  
  Tuesday, Oct. 28: Elevator #2, serving the Lynnwood (northbound) platform and the mezzanine, will be unavailable.
  
  To ride the 1 Line to Lynnwood:
  
  1. Take the elevator up to the Angle Lake platform.
  2. Take the 1 Line to SeaTac/Airport Station.
  3. At SeaTac/Airport Station, board the 1 Line toward Lynnwood.
  
  Passengers requiring elevator service CANNOT exit from the Lynnwood platform.
  
  To exit the station from Tukwila International Blvd Station:
  
  1. From the Lynnwood platform, board the 1 Line.
  2. Take the 1 Line to Rainier Beach Station.
  3. At Rainier Beach Station, board the 1 Line toward Angle Lake.
  4. Exit the 1 Line at Tukwila International Blvd Station.
  5. Riders can exit Tukwila International Blvd Station using the Angle Lake platform elevator.
  
  
  Wednesday, Oct. 29: Elevator #1, serving the street-level plaza and the mezzanine, will be unavailable.
  
  Passengers requiring elevator service must go to another station.
  
  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Go to Bus Bay 1.
  2. Take King County Metro RapidRide A Line southbound to International Blvd & S 176th St for SeaTac/Airport Station.
  3. Take the elevator near Bus Bay 1 up to the pedestrian bridge to enter the station.
  
  To exit the station from the Lynnwood platform:
  
  1. Reboard the 1 Line.
  2. Exit the 1 Line at International District/Chinatown Station.
  3. Go to the King County Metro Bus Stop at 4th Ave S & S Jackson St.
  4. Take King County Metro route 124 southbound to return to Tukwila International Blvd Station.
  
  To exit the station from the Angle Lake platform:
  
  1. Board the 1 Line.
  2. Exit the 1 Line at SeaTac/Airport Station.
  3. Go to the King County Metro bus stop at Int'l Blvd & S 176th St.
  4. Take northbound King County Metro

• 1 Line and 2 Line real-time transit information may display inaccurate information and in-station real time signage is unavailable.
• Starting on September 11 through November 14, the south parking lot at Lynnwood Transit Center will be closed to vehicles. This is to allow for construction of a new trash enclosure.
  
  The ONLY vehicles allowed access during the construction will be those using the ADA parking spaces and paratransit bus service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

• SeaTac/Airport Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice. The elevator serving the platform and the mezzanine is out of service.
  
  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Go to the opposite end of the station past the entrance to the airport terminal walkway.
  2. Take the elevator up to the platform.
  
  To exit the station to Airport Terminals & International Blvd:
  
  1. Go to the opposite end of the platform.
  2. Take the elevator down to the mezzanine.
  3. Take the Airport Terminal Walkway to enter the airport OR take the pedestrian bridge to exit at International Blvd.
• Elevator and Escalator upgrades at Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station
  
  Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.
  
  Exit A - to 5th Ave S & S Jackson St:
  • Elevator 901 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Elevator 902 to Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Escalator 901 from Lynnwood platform – out of service
  • Escalator 902 from Angle Lake platform – out of service
  
  Exit B – to 5th Ave S & King St:
  • Elevator 904 to Angle Lake platform – Currently out of service (Updated 10/20)

• University of Washington Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice due to a mechanical issue.
  
  
  The elevator at the Husky Stadium exit serving the street (Montlake Blvd NE), pedestrian bridge, and platform is out of service for the foreseeable future.
  
  During recent repairs, it was identified that a component in the elevator was damaged. The damaged component is not available for purchase separately, and a completely new machine will need to be ordered. These new machines have a significant lead time and the elevator will be out of service until repairs are complete.

  1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
