• SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
  
  Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
  
  During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
  
  The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
  
  Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
  
  Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
• Elevator outage at University of Washington Station. The elevator at the Husky Stadium exit serving the street (Montlake Blvd NE), pedestrian bridge, and platform is out of service.
  
  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
• From 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, until end of service on Sunday, Jan. 4, 1 Line Shuttle buses will replace trains between Capitol Hill and Stadium stations.
  
  Sound Transit is upgrading signaling equipment in downtown Seattle stations to improve system reliability.
  
  1 Line trains will arrive every 15 minutes between Lynnwood City Center and Capitol Hill stations, and every 15 minutes between Stadium and Federal Way Downtown stations.
  
  1 Line Shuttle buses will arrive at closed stations every 10-15 minutes. Below are shuttle stops for affected stations:

• Sound Transit services will operate on a modified schedule Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Thursday, Jan. 1 for the New Year's holiday.
  
  Services are free from 4 a.m. on Dec. 31 until the end of extended service on Jan. 1, providing passengers with a safe and reliable option for holiday travel. Riders are encouraged to continue tapping on so that ridership data can be collected.
  
  Dec. 31 - New Year's Eve
  
  1 Line: Service will run on an extended weekday schedule, with trains running every 15 minutes during late night. The last southbound train will depart Lynnwood at 1:57 a.m., serve Westlake at 2:28 a.m. and arrive in Federal Way at 3:23 a.m.
  
  The last northbound train will depart Federal Way at 1:56 a.m., serve Westlake at 2:52 a.m. and arrive in Lynnwood at 3:24 a.m.
  
  2 Line: Service will run on weekday schedule.
  
  T Line: Service will run on weekday schedule.
  
  Jan. 1 - New Year's
  
  1 Line: Service will run on Sunday schedule.
  
  2 Line: Service will run on Sunday schedule.
  
  T Line: Service will run on Sunday schedule.
  
• Elevator and Escalator upgrades at Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station
  
  Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.
  
  Exit A - to 5th Ave S & S Jackson St:
  • Elevator 901 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Elevator 902 to Federal Way platform – in service
  • Escalator 901 from Lynnwood platform – out of service
