• From 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, to 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 1 Line Shuttle buses will replace trains between Capitol Hill and Stadium stations.
  
  Sound Transit is upgrading signaling equipment in downtown Seattle stations to improve system reliability.
  
  1 Line trains will arrive every 15 minutes between Lynnwood City Center and Capitol Hill stations, and every 10-15 minutes between Stadium and Federal Way Downtown stations.
  
  1 Line Shuttle buses will arrive at closed stations every 10-15 minutes. Below are shuttle stops for affected stations:

• SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
  
  Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
  
  During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
  
  The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
  
  Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
  
  Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
• Pioneer Square Station - Elevator 706 will be unavailable from 7:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. on Fri, Dec 12 due to scheduled maintenance.
  
  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
  2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & James St.
  3. Take the elevator at the North Mezzanine down to the desired platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the elevator down to either platform.
  2. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
  3. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  4. Take the elevator at Exit A (3rd Ave & James St) up to the street.

• Starting at 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, to Saturday, Dec. 13, construction at Pinehurst Station will require 1 Line trains to share a track at Shoreline South/148th Station. Trains will serve the northbound/Lynnwood City Center side of the platform.
  
  Expect 12-minute wait times starting at 9 p.m. daily. Regular service will resume each morning at the start of service.

  2. Exit the garage or travel to the station.

• Elevator and Escalator upgrades at Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station
  
  Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.
  
  Exit A - to 5th Ave S & S Jackson St:
  • Elevator 901 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Elevator 902 to Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Escalator 901 from Lynnwood platform – out of service

  Exit B – to 5th Ave S & King St:
  • Elevator 904 to Angle Lake platform – Currently out of service (Updated 10/20)

• Starting on September 11 through December 29, the south parking lot at Lynnwood Transit Center will be closed to vehicles. This is to allow for construction of a new trash enclosure.
  
  The ONLY vehicles allowed access during the construction will be those using the ADA parking spaces and paratransit bus service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  The 1 Line has arrived in South King County. Link light rail trains are now serving Kent Des Moines, Star Lake, and Federal Way!
• University of Washington Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice due to a mechanical issue.
  
  
  The elevator at the Husky Stadium exit serving the street (Montlake Blvd NE), pedestrian bridge, and platform is out of service for the foreseeable future.
  
  During recent repairs, it was identified that a component in the elevator was damaged. The damaged component is not available for purchase separately, and a completely new machine will need to be ordered. These new machines have a significant lead time and the elevator will be out of service until repairs are complete.

  1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
