• SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
  
  Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
  
  During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
  
  The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
  
  Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
  
  Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
• Testing for the 1 Line extension to Federal Way is underway. During testing, trains will continue south past Angle Lake Station. Passengers must deboard at Angle Lake. Service to Federal Way begins on Dec. 6.  
• Elevator and Escalator upgrades at Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station
  
  Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.
  
  Exit A - to 5th Ave S & S Jackson St:
  • Elevator 901 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Elevator 902 to Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Escalator 901 from Lynnwood platform – out of service
  • Escalator 902 from Angle Lake platform – out of service
  
  Exit B – to 5th Ave S & King St:
  • Elevator 904 to Angle Lake platform – Currently out of service (Updated 10/20)
  • Escalator 903 from Lynnwood platform – in service

  • Southeast stairwell to/from Lynnwood platform – closed

• Starting on September 11 through December 29, the south parking lot at Lynnwood Transit Center will be closed to vehicles. This is to allow for construction of a new trash enclosure.
  
  The ONLY vehicles allowed access during the construction will be those using the ADA parking spaces and paratransit bus service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

• Starting as early as 9:40 p.m. until the end of service, shuttle buses are replacing 1 Line trains between Capitol Hill and SODO during scheduled rail maintenance. Trains will still operate between SODO and Angle Lake and from Lynnwood to Capitol Hill.
  
  Train service from SODO to Angle Lake stations and Lynnwood to Capitol Hill stations – every 15 minutes.
  - At Capitol Hill Station, passengers must board trains on the northbound/Lynnwood platform.
  - At SODO Station, passengers must board trains on the northbound/Lynnwood platform.
  
  Angle Lake to Lynnwood:
  - The last train to Lynnwood serving all downtown stations will depart Angle Lake at 9:56 p.m., serving SODO at 10:27 p.m. and Capitol Hill at 10:41 p.m.
  
  Lynnwood to Angle Lake:
  - The last train to Angle Lake serving all downtown Seattle stations will depart Lynnwood at 10:13 p.m., serving Capitol Hill at 10:41 p.m. and SODO at 10:54 p.m.
  
  1 Line shuttle buses will replace trains between Capitol Hill to SODO stations – every 10 minutes.

• University of Washington Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice due to a mechanical issue.
  
  
  The elevator at the Husky Stadium exit serving the street (Montlake Blvd NE), pedestrian bridge, and platform is out of service for the foreseeable future.
  
  During recent repairs, it was identified that a component in the elevator was damaged. The damaged component is not available for purchase separately, and a completely new machine will need to be ordered. These new machines have a significant lead time and the elevator will be out of service until repairs are complete.

  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
