• SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
  
  Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
  
  During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
  
  The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
  
  Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
  
  Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
• Pioneer Square Station - Elevator 705 unavailable until further notice due to mechanical issue. The North Mezzanine is inaccessible to passengers requiring elevator service until further notice.

  To ride the 1 Line to Lynnwood:
  
  1. Exit the station and continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
  2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & Yesler Way.
  3. Take the elevator at the South Mezzanine down to the Angle Lake platform.
  4. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
  5. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  6. Cross the North Mezzanine.
  7. Take the elevator down to the Lynnwood platform.
  
  To ride the 1 Line to Angle Lake:
  
  1. Exit the station and continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
  2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & Yesler Way.
  3. Take the elevator at the South Mezzanine down to the Angle Lake platform
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
  2. Take the elevator up to the South Mezzanine.
  3. Cross the South Mezzanine.
  4. Take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform.
  5. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit C.
  6. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  7. Take the elevator at Exit C (3rd Ave & Yesler Way) up to the street.
• Beginning Monday, July 7, two ticket vending machines located on the street level of University of Washington Station will be temporarily removed for Fare Paid Zone work.
  
  Beginning Monday, July 7, the two ticket vending machines located on street level at Link light rail University of Washington Station will be temporarily removed for approx. 4 – 5 weeks for Fare Paid Zone work. This work will update UW Station to look similar to what riders see at University District, Roosevelt and Northgate stations. All other ticket vending machines at this station will continue to be available for rider use.
• Elevator and Escalator upgrades at Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station
  
  Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.
  
  Exit A - to 5th Ave S & S Jackson St:
  • Elevator 901 to Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Elevator 902 to Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Escalator 901 from Lynnwood platform – out of service
  • Escalator 902 from Angle Lake platform – out of service
  
  Exit B – to 5th Ave S & King St:
  • Elevator 904 to Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Escalator 903 from Lynnwood platform – in service
  • Escalator 904 from Angle Lake platform – in service
  • Elevator 903 to Lynnwood platform – out of service
  • Southeast stairwell to/from Lynnwood platform – closed
  
  
  Passengers who need assistance while at a Sound Transit station, can call or text Security at (206) 398-5268.
• Elevator outage at University of Washington Station due to unscheduled outage. The elevator at the Husky Stadium exit serving the street (Montlake Blvd NE), pedestrian bridge, and platform is out of service.
  
  To ride the 1 Line:
  
  1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
• From Monday, August 11 through Monday, September 30, construction at Pinehurst Station will require 1 Line trains to share one track at Shoreline South/148th Station. Passengers must board all trains on the southbound platform to Angle Lake
  
  Expect 12-minute headways starting at 7 p.m. daily, with regular service resuming when work concludes each morning at the start of service.

  September 15-18: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
  September 22-26: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
  September 29-30: Platform to Lynnwood City Center - 7 p.m. - start of service

• Capitol Hill Station - Elevator 2 unavailable until further notice due to unscheduled outage.
  
  To ride the 1 Line from the Street (E John St & Broadway Ave E):
  
  1. Go to Broadway Ave E and turn left toward E Denny Way.
  2. Enter the station at the corner of E Denny Way & Nagle Place near Cal Anderson Park.
  3. Take the street level elevator down to the platform.
  
  To ride the 1 Line from the North Mezzanine:
  
  1. Return to the North Mezzanine elevator serving the street to exit the station.
  2. Go to Broadway Ave E and turn left toward E Denny Way.
  3. Enter the station at the corner of E Denny Way & Nagle Place near Cal Anderson Park.
  4. Take the street level elevator down to the platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward the E Denny Way exit.
  2. Take the elevator up to the street.
• 1 Line Shuttle buses will be replacing the 1 Line between Westlake Station and SODO Station on Saturday, August 23 from start of service to 1 p.m., due to East Link testing.
  
  During this time trains will operate approximately every 12 minutes between Lynnwood City Center to Westlake stations and SODO to Angle Lake stations. Passengers must transfer off trains at Westlake and SODO stations to continue to downtown Seattle stations, where 1 Line Shuttle buses will run every 10-15 minutes.
  
  Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead for additional travel time and to ride regular King County Metro or ST Express buses through downtown Seattle.

  1. Cross the South Mezzanine.
  2. Take the elevator down to the Lynnwood platform.
  3. Go to the opposite end of the Lynnwood platform toward Exit A.
  4. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  5. Cross the North Mezzanine.
  6. Take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform.
  
  To exit the station:
  
  1. Go to the opposite end of the platform.
  2. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
  3. Take the elevator at Exit A (3rd Ave & James St) up to the street.
• 1 Line trains will run test operations during regular service on Friday, August 22 from 5 AM to 9 AM. Please check train head signs before boarding.
  
  Test trains will run between Lynnwood and Stadium on 4-minute headways in both directions alongside regular service. Trains with "Out of Service" head signs will briefly pause at stations but doors will remain closed. This testing will help us prepare for more frequent service once the 2 Line crosses Lake Washington and extends to Lynnwood City Center.
  
  During the testing hours, we will not display estimated train arrival times on the overhead digital signs.
