Sound Transit continues to upgrade elevators and escalators at International District/Chinatown Station. See below for current service status during the improvement process.

Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available. - From 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, through the end of service on Saturday, Jan. 24, shuttle buses will replace trains between Capitol Hill and SODO stations. The schedule has changed due to the NFC Championship Game. GO HAWKS!
From 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, until the end of service on Saturday, Jan. 24, shuttle buses will replace trains between Capitol Hill and SODO stations. Shuttle buses will arrive at closed stations every 10-15 minutes.
1 Line trains will arrive every 15 minutes between Lynnwood City Center and Capitol Hill stations, and between SODO and Federal Way Downtown stations.
Sound Transit is upgrading signaling equipment in downtown Seattle stations to improve system reliability.

Shuttle buses will bring southbound passengers to the south side of the Lander intersection. To reach the station, go toward the Lander and SODO Busway intersection, turn right to cross SODO Busway, then turn left to cross Lander and continue towards the station. - Beacon Hill elevator 3 unavailable until further notice due to scheduled maintenance.

Plan accordingly to ensure you can secure parking. - Pinehurst construction scheduled for tonight, Jan. 23, has been canceled. 1 Line trains will no longer be sharing one track at Shoreline South/148th Station.
Trains will resume normal service tonight at Shoreline South/148th Station.
Shuttle buses will still replace trains between Capitol Hill and SODO stations starting tonight at 10 p.m. until end of service on Saturday, Jan. 24.
